MediaMation’s contributions to amusement and museum industry A/V and show control reach historic proportions with the company’s involvement with $115 million Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Illinois. Hailed as a “redefinition of the possible” in history of museums, the visitor experience uses state of the art presentation technologies normally reserved for theme parks and major motion pictures. This is combined with world class scholarship and “the world’s largest collection of materials related to the 16th U.S. president.”

The Library building is now open to the public, with the Museum building scheduled to open early 2005.  Featuring state-of-the-art exhibits, special effects, technical wizardry, interactive displays and multimedia programs, the Museum will include an impressive, 250 seat special effects theater. The museum was conceived, created and produced by prominent museum exhibit designer BRC Imagination Arts of Burbank, California. MediaMation has been subcontracted by BRC to provide a  variety of sophisticated technological components to this theater, including Vidshow HD™ with three synchronized channels of High Definition video feeding Sanyo UF10 projectors and two Sanyo XP41 projectors; multiple touchscreen interfaces and remote operator control panels; automation of doors and other safety elements; lighting systems interfaces, including under seat strobes; 24-channel synchronized audio with PAS speakers; as well as mechanical effects and rigging.
