MMI is now offering an additional version of our already popular X4D Motion EFX Attraction Seats.  The new Cinema Seat series caters specifically to cinema operators, exhibits, attractions and home theater aficionados.  Noteworthy features of the series include the following:

• Spotlighting a patent-pending design, these modular cinema seats are available in different fabrics and colors that can compliment a theater’s design.  (Certain volume requirements apply)
• New cinema seats have their own independent motion and can interlink to other adjoining Cinema motion EFX seats.
• Because the seats themselves do not contain valves, cylinders or motors, they instead run through a unique distributed power unit that can operate multiple seats as needed.   Seats can be powered via electric, pneumatics or hydraulics, depending upon the venue.

Obviously, the above options offer significant benefits to cinema, home theater and other specialized venue owners, translating into greater flexibility in design, layout and shape of a given theater.  Meanwhile, for situations where seat transducers/rumblers and 2DOF are more than enough special EFX action to get the job done, the slightly reduced motion pays off in accommodating significantly higher seat density.   This scenario means operators can fit in more motion EFX seats for any given theater venue, thus admitting more people per show.  The increased number of patrons can result in greater revenues for the attraction overall. 

For customers who desire more expansive effects, (i.e., pokers, air and neck blast, water blast and scent) these EFX are available as add-ons.  MediaMation’s new X4D Motion EFX Cinema seats are sold separately, or as part of our popular turnkey 4D motion effects theater package, which also includes projectors, screens, show control, audio installation and programming.

X4D Motion EFX Attraction Seats

Our 4D Effects Seats are the first of its kind to provide a functional hybrid between static or simple movement chairs and full motion simulators.

Building on over 20 years of leading edge technology and design, we utilize a unique, quiet, air-driven, pneumatic system for cost effective, energy efficient and low maintenance turnkey installations, compared to the high maintenance and power requirements of hydraulics or electric bases.  Our 4D Effects Seats and theaters are easy to operate with a simple one-button operation to run the show.  Maintenance is easy with our efficient, web-cam remote and login support for quick changes and upgrades.

Our X4D Motion EFX Seats provide real 1, 2 or 3 degrees of freedom (DOF) motion base action, coupled with the latest 4D special effects and 5D movement.

1. Standard effects include:
   front air blasts, front water spray, neck blasts, leg tickler and seat transducers/rumblers. 
2. Optional in-seat effects include: 
   under seat “poppers,” back pokers, scent.
3. Atmospheric/ theater effects include:
   wind, rain, snow, bubbles, fog, strobing, and special effect lighting.
4. Variations of the X4D motion EFX seats are:
