BB 200 Series
|
|
 |
The most powerful small show development solution.
Utilizes any Midi Sequencer or Controller to create and playback
shows. Affordable Midi I/O for control of Valves, Relays,
LED's, Motors, Servos, and more!
|
|
|
|
| The BB200 series consists of the
RP-16, AO-16,
and DO-16. Each unit is a totally
self-contained device that can be daisy-chained together to accomplish
whatever configuration you require. Mounted in a small, rugged, steel,
1/4 rack space enclosure, each unit can be stand alone, wall mounted,
or rack mounted for up to 4 BB200 units in a single rack space! All
connections are brought out the rear panel for easy wiring and access,
and all I/O points are on standard DB25 connectors. The front panel
contains 16 LED I/O status indicators, a power and MIDI activity LED
and 8 DIP micro switches to set each units address and offset.
No software is required for setup! Each MIDI Thru/Out jack regenerates
the data from the MIDI In jack, allowing unlimited daisy-chaining
of units with no signal degradation. |

|
RP-16 Record/Playback:
|
| The RP-16 is the "Brains" of the BB-200 series. It is
essentially a Midi Data Recorder and Player. It stores up to 16 Shows
or Midi Sequences on nonvolatile SmartMedia cards. Simply select the
show to record, put the unit into record mode, and play your show
or sequence into the unit in real time. The RP-16 faithfully records
virtually ALL Midi data, including Midi Time Code, so that it can
be used as a master SMPTE source. The front panel Dip Switches are
used to setup the playback mode, as well as give you manual control
of all record and playback features so that you can test and play
your shows with no computer or software interface. Since all data
is recorded onto removable SmartMedia cards, you can have 16 new shows
by simply swapping the card. |
- 18 Opto-Isolated inputs; Show 1-16, Stop, Next/Continue
- Opto-Isolated Play Tally Output
- Over 500,000 event storage per card
- "Program in Place" or swap cards
- Play once, loop, sequential, and loop sequential playback
modes

DO-16 High Power
16 Channel Digital Output:
|
| The DO-16 provides 16, fused, open collector outputs controlled
by standard MIDI Note On/Off commands. Use this unit to control any
On/Off device, such as LEDs, valves, SSR's, or relays. Each
output has the capability to sink up to 400ma at up to 50 volts DC.
Integral clamping diodes allow direct drive of inductive loads such
as relays, solenoids, and valves. Front panel LED status indicators
show the state of each output at all times. |
|
|
AO-16 16 Channel
Analog Output:
|
| The AO-16 Provides 16 analog 0-10 or 0-5 volt outputs with up to
12 bit precision (4096 steps). Each output is controlled from standard
MIDI Continuous Controller or higher resolution pitchbend commands.
Each analog output is buffered and can drive up to 30ma. This unit
is the most cost effective way to control analog valves for fountains,
animatronics characters, and special effects. Front panel LED status
indicators show the state of each output. 8x8 option: This
option reconfigures the AO-16 for 8 analog and 8 high power digital
outputs (400ma @50VDC) for only $99.00. |

Common features of BB-200's
|
| Dip Switch Configuration |
 |
| |
|
| Each BB-200RM unit has an 8 position recessed
DIP switch located on the front panel. These switches allow
you to easily select the MIDI channel, Note or other configuration
setting for the unit. There is no software required, and no
possibility of memory loss over the years. |
|
Each BB-200 series unit can be easily connected to the next
unit with a standard 5 wire MIDI cable. Since each unit actually
regenerates the MIDI signal, you can daisy chain as many units
as you want to with no signal degradation. Additionally, the
power supply from the first unit is shared via this cable to
the other units. This makes it possible to have a single MIDI
In and Power connection for several units placed side by side.
